Rifaximed 200 (Rifaximin Tablets IP 200 mg) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in the intestine. It is commonly prescribed for the management of traveler’s diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D), and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) by reducing harmful bacteria in the gut. It may also be used to help prevent hepatic encephalopathy in patients with liver disease under medical supervision.
